Lori (she/her/hers) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who works with adults in individual, couples, and family therapy. She has over 34 years of experience in addressing a wide range of concerns including: anxiety; depression; major life change; relationship growth and intimacy; parenting; conflict resolution; separation and divorce; relationship infidelity; grief, loss and end-of-life issues.

She employs a variety of approaches including Narrative and Solution Focused Brief Therapy. She firmly believes that both client and clinician bring knowledge and expertise to the therapy process, and that this knowledge is the foundation for building a more hopeful and satisfying life. She is committed to co-creating therapeutic goals, identifying supports toward these goals, and working collaboratively to empower clients in their pursuit of preferred ways of living. She continues to be inspired by the resiliency of the clients she collaborates with and remains grateful to share in their process of change.

Education and Training

Lori received her Bachelor of Social Work (B.S.W.) and Bachelor of Science in Psychology (B.S.)
from Iowa State University, Ames, IA, in 1986.

She received her Master of Social Work (M.S.W.)
from the University of Iowa, Iowa City, IA, in 1989. Additionally, she participated in training for couples’ and family therapy at the Vermont Family Therapy Institute in Burlington, VT, from
1990 – 1994.
