Erin is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 20 years of experience in health care, spanning both hospital and outpatient settings. Her background includes practicing as a PA in family medicine and psychiatry, giving her a unique integrative perspective on an individual’s health. She serves individuals, families, and couples seeking therapy services. Erin is skilled at treating depression and mood disorders, anxiety, relationship issues, stress management, trauma, and coping with complex medical issues. Erin brings a special focus to chronic pain management, using her training from Pain Reprocessing Therapy and Emotional Awareness and Expressive Therapy to help clients break free from persistent pain cycles.  She also has a special interest in women’s issues including pregnancy, postpartum depression and anxiety, infertility, miscarriage, and changing family dynamics. 

Her therapeutic approach is non-judgmental, strength-based, and highly tailored to each person’s goals. When appropriate, she incorporates trauma-focused treatments like EMDR and Brainspotting in sessions. Erin is a LGBTQ+ affirming therapist.

Erin uses an integrative treatment approach in order to meet her clients where they’re at. She pulls from Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Motivational Interviewing (MI) to tailor treatment to the client’s goals. When appropriate Erin also incorporates EMDR and Brainspotting, two types of treatments that help the brain reprocess trauma and other distressing issues. She is a Certified Prepare/Enrich Facilitator and has completed Level 1 Gottman training.

Education and Training

Erin holds a master’s and Bachelors degree in Social Worker from University of Wisconsin-Madison. She also earned a master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from University of Wisconsin-Madison. She has achieved a Certification of Added Qualifications in Psychiatry from NCCPA.
