Marcia Roum Brue

Marcia is a Licensed Professional Counselor who works with adults 18 and older. She has over 30 years of experience in the field of human services in a variety of venues. While she treats a variety of behavioral health issues, her areas of expertise include emotional and health concerns in adults, life transitions, anxiety, depression, stress management, grief, divorce, and trauma. She uses several different techniques including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), elements of Solution Focused Therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness. She also feels that faith can be a key component in coping with life issues and this can be explored to the extent it is comfortable or desired by the client. Marcia uses a holistic approach in counseling, looking at all aspects that impact emotional and mental health – body, mind, and social factors. She believes that small changes can create big results.
