Uplands Counseling Associates - COVID-19 Response and Updates

The health, safety and well-being of our clients, clinicians, staff and community is very important to us at Uplands Counseling Associates. For this reason, we have recently made the decision to refrain from face to face psychotherapy visits during the Covid 19 pandemic. However, we continue to be as committed as ever to supporting our clients. As of Monday, March 23, 2020 and in keeping with the Covid 19 “Safer at Home” order, Uplands Counseling Associates is now offering Teletherapy (sometimes referred to as Telehealth or Telemedicine) Services.

We have been in contact with several insurance companies and EAP programs and are pleased to report that most are covering Teletherapy Services (video and telephone options) during the Covid 19 pandemic. Your clinician will be in touch with you prior to your scheduled appointment to discuss which option (video or telephone) is best for you.

Uplands’ clinicians are “up and running” with the HIPAA – compliant Zoom video platform. Zoom is easy to use – all you need to do is “join a meeting” from the email link your clinician will send you. You may use your smart phone, computer or tablet device to participate in the video session.

You may wish to contact your insurance company directly to confirm Teletherapy coverage.
