With over 30 years of clinical experience, Gretchen works with adults, couples, and families having a wide range of problems including depression, anxiety, job stress, loss, divorce, and other personal struggles. Her ability to assess the factors that contribute to the onset of problems assists clients to understand and cope with their emotions, develop tools, and learn new skills. With reliance on research based Cognitive Behavioral techniques and supportive interventions, she emphasizes helping clients access and build their own strengths.
Education and Training
Gretchen has received her Master's degree in Clinical Social Work from Columbia University in New York and a Doctorate in the Psychology of Human Development from the University of Wisconsin. Gretchen is a graduate of Northwestern University's two year training program in Family and Couple’s Therapy, credentialing her for clinical membership in the Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT).
