Dan Flood is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who has worked with families, couples and adolescents for over 35 years in a variety of outpatient/inpatient settings. He works well with families and couples who are in conflict and he is also trained to help individuals who suffer from anxiety or depression. He is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for trauma resolution. His brief therapy focus emphasizes a cognitive-behavioral therapy approach that stresses the importance of client involvement in the healing process.
Dan has collaborated in the training of psychiatric residents. He has presented workshops on emergency mental health to mental health professionals. He also talks to community groups on a variety of mental health issues. Dan, a strong believer in the efficacy of couples counseling often works with his wife Sally Flood, MSW.
Education and Training
Dan received his Bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 1971 and his Master’s in Social Work (MSW) from Tulane University-New Orleans in 1973.
