Lyn has treated mood disorders in children, adolescents and adults for over 25 years. Areas of concern include: depression, anxiety/panic, eating disorders, grief, trauma and difficult life experiences. In addition to identifying symptoms, Lyn listens to each person's story. In collaboration with the client, a treatment plan is then developed. Eclectic treatment approaches may vary from cognitive-behavioral techniques to mindfulness or family system models.
While Lyn initially worked as a children's therapist in a community mental health center, subsequent clinical settings have included the treatment of adults. Her clinical experience has included work in a day treatment program for individuals struggling with eating disorders. She also has her Level I & II training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) for use with clients who have experienced trauma in their lives. In private practice, Lyn has enjoyed working with a broad range of ages and problem areas..
